HTML is the standard markup language for creating web pages These web pages are linked with each other. This linking is known as hyperlinks or hypertext. You can access web pages from all over the world with an internet connection.
The client sends a request to the webserver. It sees the request, finds the requested page, and serves it to the user. This happens within a fraction of a second.
Web 1.0
Web 1.0 is the first generation of the web. It is also known as static pages or read-only web. It was created in 1992 by Tim Berners-Lee. Web 1.0 was the initial stage of the web. It lasted from 1990 to 2000. In web 1.0 all the pages were static.
In those days, there were very few content creators for the web. The majority of people were just content readers. There was no interactivity and the pages were very bland and lacked a good user experience. Still, it was a massive technological achievement back in the day.
Web2
Web2 is the second generation of the web. It came after a gradual update and increase in technology over the course of 10 years. It is a major improvement over web 1.0. Soon, the internet shifted from web 1.0 to web2 in the early 2000s.
It introduced interactivity, dynamic pages, and a great user experience. Because of this, content creation gained popularity, and blogging and social media became the daily need of users. People were able to connect and share details with each other.
Also, Web2 helped in launching careers for several people. Facebook, Amazon, and Google are some examples of web2
Web3
Web3 also known as Web3 or Semantic Web is the third generation of the web. Rather than using cookies to store data, Web3 will use machine learning. It will improve the interactivity, behavior, and understanding of the web greatly. Internet experts say it is the future of the web.
It is not a newer term. The term was first used in 2014. However, it has gained popularity in 2021. Basically, cryptocurrency holders and big tech companies made the term Web3 common.
It will be a web that will be based on blockchain technology, decentralization of data, and crypto-based currencies. Web3 will also remove the concept of a middleman. It will also increase privacy and security. Because of Web3, the web will become smarter, more secure, and more distributed.

Final Thoughts about web3
Web3 will bring a new world to the web. It will be a major step up from web2. There will be a revolution in the web industry. It will provide many advantages and ease. But we have to keep in mind that it almost took 10 years to gradually move from web 1.0 to web2. So it will take some time to implement Web3 properly.
The next point is that launching and implementing web3, doesn’t mean that web2 will be finished. Web2 will live on.
